READING PRIDE CELEBRATION AND THE LGBT CENTER OF GREATER READING CELEBRATES RESPECT FOR MARRIAGE ACT WITH PUBLIC EVENT

READING, P.a., December 12, 2022 - Reading Pride Celebration (RPC) and the LGBT Center of Greater Reading invites the public to the Love Wins celebration in honor of the signing into law of the Respect for Marriage Act by President Biden.

The event will be held at the Temple Fire Company on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and will be free to attend. 

“Although there is still much work to do to achieve total equality for our communities, we want to celebrate this win, not only for the LGBTQ+ community but for those in interracial marriages,” said Enrique Castro, Jr., Executive Director of RPC.

“The Respect for Marriage Act codifies same-sex and interracial marriages, recognizing love is love. It should be celebrated as another step along our journey for equality,” said Michelle Dech, Executive Director of the LGBT Center of Greater Reading.
