Hybrid support group for parents, youth (7-13) and allies

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading is excited to announce they have a NEW hybrid support group for parents, youth and allies beginning this week. The meetings will be held every other Wednesday from 6-7:30pm (beginning tomorrow, Wednesday May 1). 

The group will be both educational and activity based for youth ages 7-13 years old that identify as LGBTQ+. The adolescents will have the opportunity to connect with peers that identify similarly. We also encourage youth allies to attend in support of their friends. The group will be professionally facilitated by qualified individuals and closely monitored.

Parents will meet simultaneously discussing the challenges and questions that may arise while raising an LGBTQ+ identified adolescent. This group will be professionally facilitated by Bethany Bower, a licensed social worker.
