Our Vendors are a very important part of the festival providing information, services and wares to the GSD community and our allies. Each year the number of Vendors participating grows with last year numbering at 75, each bringing a uniqueness that captures the interest of the attendees.

What do you need to know as a Vendor for Pride prior to the event?


+ Registration

Prospective Vendors should fill out the Registration Form carefully and completely especially if you have any special requests or if renting tables or chairs from us. Your application will not be processed until full payment is received by check, money order or credit/debit card via PayPal at our website www.readingpridecelebration.org. All vendor fees once accepted are non-refundable unless for some reason the event is canceled by Reading Pride Celebration. You will receive a confirmation or denial of acceptance via mail, e-mail or by phone prior to the event.

+ Vendor Space

Vendor spaces are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications may be accepted based on availability of space or conflicting products/services.

Reading Pride Celebration holds exclusive rights to vend bottled water. Any vendor selling or distributing bottled water will be asked to abstain from doing so.

+ Insurance

Vendors make sure you have proper insurance covering this event (when applicable). Reading Pride Celebration is not responsible for any damages or suits resulting from items sold, vendor’s personal property or actions of vendors participating in this event.

+ City Forms

You are required by the City of Reading to obtain a Business Privilege License ($15.00) if you do not already have one for 2017. All vendors must register but only those who sell merchandise or services at the festival must pay for a license. We are required by the City of Reading to submit a listing of all participants to the tax bureau prior to the event to verify proper licensure of all vendors. Register by clicking on the button below printing out the form and mailing it in to the address on the form with $15.00 payment if applicable.

Food Vendors must have a current City of Reading Food Vendor Application.  If not, one day License coverage is available for an extra fee which is available by registering for it by clicking on the “Forms” icon below printing out the form and mailing it in to the address on the form with $10.00 payment and provide supporting document.

The following form is required for FOOD vendors:

The Fire Marshal’s Office of the City of Reading requires all food trucks have hood systems if they are creating grease laden vapors, to include suppression systems. Also if they are preparing food outside, no open flames will allowed under a tent and must have a secured area to cook where the public will not be allowed. What do you need to know as a Vendor at Pride the day of the event?


+ Inclusion

Reading Pride Celebration welcomes participation by all people regardless of age, creed, gender, gender identity, HIV status, national origin, physical or mental development ability, race, religion, and/or sexual orientation and asks all participants to engage in non-discriminating behaviors by respecting all other participants. This is a family event and children are present. Profanity and obscenity is prohibited and violators will be asked to leave. Also, events such as ours may attract protesters and we strongly suggest that no one engage in conversation with them.

+ Check In

All participants must check in at the registration table. Registration begins at 7:00 am. The registration table will be located at the corner of Centre Avenue and Douglass Street. DO NOT unload your car until you have registered.

+ Location

At the registration table will be a map of the park with the vendor spaces marked and numbered. You will receive your assigned space when you register. No prior selection or saving of spaces will be allowed.

+ Unload

You may unload your vehicle on Centre Avenue, Douglass Street or 4th Street. We will have volunteers available to help you carry your wares to your space. Immediately after unloading and prior to set-up, you must move your vehicle. Because of large numbers of vendors and the limited area for unloading, we must move vehicles as quickly as possible so that others may unload without double parking. All unloading must be completed by 11:00 am.

+ Set Up

Set up your area. If you have rented a table from Reading Pride Celebration, it should already be in your in your designated space. If not, please return to the Registration Table. It is your responsibility to return the table at the close of the day to the Entertainment Tents located by the Main Stage near the Red Cross parking lot. Please be ready for business by 11:30 am, since the Admission Gates open at 12:00 pm. After 11:30 am, please direct any questions or concerns to the Information Booth located at the Inner Circle near the Main Stage.

NOTE - VENDORS MAY NOT EXHIBIT AND/OR SELL ITEMS OF AN ADULT NATURE. VENDORS VIOLATING THIS CITY ORDINANCE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND WILL BE REPORTED TO THE APPROPRIATE CITY AUTHORITIES FOR ACTION IN VIOLATION OF THE CITY ORDINANCE BANNING SUCH ITEMS AT SPECIAL EVENTS IN A CITY PARK. NUDITY IS PROHIBITED.

+ Tear Down

You must stay until the event closes at 6:00 pm. Anyone leaving before 6:00 pm may not be invited back in the future. No adjacent street parking will be allowed prior to 6:00 pm. Please tear down your display and pack up Before You Get Your Vehicle. Hopefully this will minimize parking time and eliminate the need to double-park. Please make sure you take any trash in your area to the nearest trash and/or recycling receptacle.

The above instructions are designed to make this event run as smoothly and safely as possible.  We ask that you please follow them so that all may enjoy the day.
