Reading Pride Celebration would like to announce the opening of the Miss/Mr. Reading Pride Celebration contest!
After much review, we have decided to revamp our contest, and we hope you are all as excited as we are. What has changed? Well, for starters, we have moved away from the traditional pageant format we have used in the past. Our new title winner will be decided by YOU! Fans of our Facebook page will get to help decide the next Miss/Mr. Reading Pride Celebration- how awesome is that?
A short description of the pageant rounds are:
- Round 1- Contestants submit a picture and an informational paragraph. We host the pictures for one week, and the fans get to vote for the top 4 contestants to move on to the next round!
- Round 2- Contestants of this round will submit 2 performance videos. Again, we will host the videos for one week, and you get to vote for the top 3 contestants to move on to the next round.
- Round 3- Contestants will submit an interview video which will be put up for one month and voted on by the fans. The interviews will also be judged by a panel of judges selected by the Reading Pride Celebration committee. The contestants will also have to create and host their own fundraisers for Reading Pride. Each dollar raised will count for one vote for the contestant! For the third part of this round, contestants will perform at the Pre-Pride Party where the fans will again have the chance to vote with their dollars! There will also be a panel of judges who will score the contestants for their performance at the Pre-Pride Party.
- Round 4- Round 4 will consist of the crowning- right at Pride this year before the headline performer will go on stage! Scores from all previous rounds will be added together to decide our new Miss/Mr. Reading Pride Celebration 2015!

Remember- there is NO entrance fee, but we MUST have 5 drag queens, or 5 drag kings to hold each contest. All applications are due before May 27th, 2015.
